Rules

 

 

Players will compete on a private server in Victory Royale.  Competitive and Casual tiers will be combined on to one server, but leaderboards will be according to tier. 

5 matches a day in group play from April 20-22 starting at 8 PM CST.  Playoffs will take place April 25 at 8 PM CST.
 

Match Information:

The schedule for each of the group play days will be:
 

Monday, April 20
7:20 PM CST - Ready Up Opens
8:05 PM CST - Ready Up LOCKS and the custom game key to the private server is sent out in match lobby and discord
8:20 PM CST - 5 matches back to back with 10 minutes between each match. 

Tuesday, April 21
7:20 PM CST - Ready Up Opens
8:05 PM CST - Ready Up LOCKS and the custom game key to the private server is sent out in match lobby and discord
8:20 PM CST - 5 matches back to back with 10 minutes between each match. 

Wednesday, April 22
7:20 PM CST - Ready Up Opens
8:05 PM CST - Ready Up LOCKS and the custom game key to the private server is sent out in match lobby and discord
8:20 PM CST - 5 matches back to back with 10 minutes between each match. 

Playoffs: Top 10 from the Competitive Tier and Top 20 from the Casual Tier compete in a 30 player Battle Royale.  Top 3 players from each tier receive the prizes.

Saturday, April 25

8:05 PM CST - Ready Up LOCKS and the custom game key to the private server is sent out in match lobby and discord
8:20 PM CST - 5 match Battle Royale with the top 30 Players
 

READY UP
When you arrive at the League Portal on match day, you will see the same "Ready Up" button set to it's default state of "Not Ready."  It will look like this.​

After you click it, you will be presented with some helpful links.  You must then accept the form and update your status to READY.  It will appear like this when you are locked in and confirmed:

You must complete this process by no later than 8:05 pm CST.  The schedule will lock after that time for processing, and all late players will miss the event.

POINT SYSTEM:

Victory Royale: 10 Points

2nd - 5th: 7 Points

6th - 15th: 5 Points

16th - 25th: 3 Points

Each Elimination: 1 Point

Tiebreakers

Tiebreakers will be determined in the order presented here: (1) total points scored; (2) total Victory Royales in the session; (3) average eliminations in the session; (4) average placement per match in the session; and finally (5) a coin flip.

Taikai will monitor and report scores.
 

Live Streaming

Competitors permit the Event Operators to stream and record all matches for the purpose of entertainment, monetization, and score disputes.  Competitors shall receive no compensation for the use of their likeness or gameplay in official Taikai Quarantine Cup matches.

Civility Clause

Competitors shall refrain from offensive or abusive communication and show respect to fellow competitors at all tiems.  Failure to treat competitors with respect and kindness may result in instant disqualification from all Taikai matches.

Rocket League supports Crossplay, therefore Competitors from any compatible device may participate in the league so long as they are able to connect to and play against all opponent Competitors.

 

Default Game Settings

Home team will be the first Host.  The Away team will have a choice of which team is which color, which will not change for the duration of the match.

 

The game settings should be set to the following:

 

Game Mode: Soccar

Arena: DFH Stadium OR another arena agreed upon by both teams from the list.

Team Size: 3v3

Bot Difficulty: No Bots

Team Names should be in accordance with the sides chosen by the Away team

In the event that incorrect settings are loaded on the server, the match should be stopped and reset. Previously played games with incorrect format will not count towards the series.

The following server regions are available for use in official matches:

In the event where teams are unable to agree on which server region to play the match, the server region will alternate between games starting with the home team’s server region choice.
 

Game Restrictions

Leaving and Rejoining Teams

Competitors are not allowed to leave their team and then rejoin to put them on the other side of the arena and will be considered cheating.

 

Competitor Count

Both teams participating in a match must provide 3 Competitors at the beginning of the first game, and 2 for each consecutive game. During a game, if a team should lose 2 Competitors that have disconnected with the intention of no longer playing in the match at the same time, that team will forfeit the remainder of the game to the opposing team. If a team is not able to field the required amount of Competitors for additional games in the series, then they will forfeit the remainder of the match.

Each team will compete in two matches against 2 different teams each day -  3 rounds per match.
